The setting for a casual or basic meal includes the following items:
•Fork
•Plate
•Knife
•Spoon
•Napkin
•Drinking Glass
•Small Bread Plate*
•Butter Knife*
*Bread and butter plate and knife are optional.
When setting the table, remember that the bread and butter are placed on the left and the drinking glass is always on the right. The knife blade always faces in toward the plate and the napkin can go under the fork on the left or on top of the plate.
